DescriptionKing Kong (RKO, R-1942). Fine/Very Fine. Title Lobby Card (11" X 14").
"Heaven Help Us All!" shouts this dynamite 1942 reissue title card from the colossal 1933 hit, King Kong. The "ape as big as a battleship" is on the loose, with Fay Wray, Robert Armstrong, and Bruce Cabot shrinking back in terror, mouths agape at the mayhem unfolding. Paper from this reissue is avidly sought by fans of the film, and the title card format is especially elusive. This card has such signs of handling as a slight edge wear, few creases, as well as pinholes. Also apparent are minor stains and some smudges.
Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
