King Kong (RKO, 1933). Hanger (9.5" X 20.5") DS.
Believed to be the only complete example in existence, this one of a kind find is sure to catch the notice of any serious collector. As rare as it gets for King Kong memorabilia, the horizontal wing pieces for these dramatic lobby displays were often either lost or accidentally destroyed, reducing a fearsome dragon to the movie's standard T-Rex. The battles between the film's behemoths nearly stole the show from the human actors, wowing audiences with their lifelike movements, courtesy of stop motion magician Willis O'Brien. Never before offered at auction, this hanger shows some edge wear, small creases, and a couple of bends. The tip of one of the wings has a chip, but completed item still gives the same dramatic effect as it did eighty years ago. Very Fine-.

    Estimate: $7,000 - $14,000.
