    Description

    The Man with the Golden Gun (United Artists, 1974). Very Fine+. Stainless Steel Prototype Golden Gun (9.5" X 5.5" X 1"), Replica Golden Gun Bullets (10) (1.5"), Replica Casino Chips (5) (Diameter: 1.5"), & Colibri Cufflink (0.75" X 0.75" X 0.75").
The Man with the Golden Gun, director Guy Hamilton's final film in the James Bond series, features James Bond (Roger Moore) on a hunt to track down famed hitman Francisco Scaramanga (Christopher Lee), the owner of the highly-memorable golden gun. Featured in this lot is a stainless steel prototype of the golden gun created by a prop maker, though the gun was not used on the film nor in the film's production. The gun has the same basic shape as the screen-used golden gun, with slight differences including a different texture on the rear of the gun and a chrome trigger. The gun is made as one solid piece, with the only moving part being the bottom of the trigger which can be flipped either parallel or perpendicular to the barrel. Included with the golden gun are ten replica bullets created by Factory Entertainment, a prominent replica prop manufacturer. Also included are five replica casino chips from the Casino de Macau, the casino in the movie where Bond first encounters Scaramanga's mistress, Andrea Anders (Maud Adams). Rounding out this lot is a chrome cufflink from Colibri, a cufflink which is identical to the one used as the trigger on the prototype gun. The gun and bullets have a few minor scuffs and smudges, and the chips have some very subtle smudges and stains. The cufflink has no discernable wear.
