The Man with the Golden Gun by Ian Fleming (Jonathan Case, 1965). 2nd Edition British Hardcover Book (222 Pages, 5.25" X 7.5"). James Bond.
The twelfth novel from Ian Fleming would be the author's final (as his last book, Octopussy and The Living Daylights are a collection of short stories), as his health was in decline, soon passing away during the editing and revising of the first draft. Jonathan Case published the book posthumously, eight months after the author's death. The book has Bond, brainwashed by the KGB to attempt an assassination of M, which fails. To prove his worth, Bond is sent to Jamaica to kill Francisco "Pistols" Scaramanga, an assassin believed to have killed several British agents. An unrestored hardcover book with an overall presentable appearance. It may have slight edge and spine wear, edge bumps, and minor surface scuffs. The dustjacket has edge and spine wear, spine separation, creases, tears, smudges, unobtrusive stains, some surface paper loss in the spine, chips in the borders, and may show signs of very minor color fading. The back dustjacket flap has pen marks. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details. Artwork by Richard Chopping. Fine+.
