Description

James Bond Toy Lot (Coibel Toys, 1985). Fine/Very Fine. Cap Gun in Original Packaging (7.5" X 11.5"), Cap Coin in Original Packaging (5), Cap Lighter in Original Packaging (3), & Cap Spoon in Original Packaging (2) (Approx. 6" X 9.75"). James Bond.
Spanish toymaker Coibel had a habit of producing both licensed and unlicensed toys for various franchises, including a James Bond series to coincide with the release of A View to a Kill. Coibel created two versions of each toy, one of which was officially licensed by MGM/UA for Ian Fleming's 007. The other was an unlicensed version under the code name of Dashiell Hammett and Alex Raymond's comic book spy, Secret Agent X-9. Both versions, however, use a picture of Roger Moore on the packaging. Offered are various toys with "harmless exploding" cap mechanisms, including a 007 Sting Pistol with a Secret Agent ID, five "exploding" coins, three "exploding" lighters, and two "exploding spoons." One of the coins and one of the lighters are under the X-9 name. All of the toys come in their original cards and with percussion cap cartridges. Unrestored toys that display signs of use. May include edge wear, creases, small tears, cracks in the bubbles, warping in the cards, or some toning. The cards have price stickers in the upper right. Included are two cards that are missing their toys, but this does not affect the overall grade.
