    Description

    Goldfinger (United Artists, 1964). Italian 4 - Foglio (55" X 77").
Based on Ian Fleming's 1959 novel, this film marks the appearance of a more carefree, wisecracking Bond and is widely considered to be the best movie in the series. In fact, with stylized elements such as the gold painted girl, the wince-inducing laser beam, Oddjob's razor-sharp bowler hat, and Bond's modified Aston Martin, the picture is quite possibly the most memorable Bond outing, and would be famously parodied decades later in the Austin Powers series, particularly Goldmember. This large format Italian poster is similar in layout to some of the U.S. paper, but its striking graphics some consider superior. Only offered once previously by Heritage in 2005, the piece displays nicely after touchup to pinholes in the background, slight fold wear, chip in the right border, and a crease at the top right and bottom left. A small nick in Bond's forehead, a gouge in the "H" of "Honor," and punch stamps in Bond's jacket and lower credit area can still be faintly detected. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
