GoldenEye (United Artists, 1995). Very Fine+. Miniature Model Oil Barrel (Height: 8.25", Diameter: 5.5") & Soviet Soldier Hat Pin (Diameter: 1").
From its opening scene, director Martin Campbell's Goldeneye is an action-packed new start for the James Bond franchise. Pierce Brosnan debuted in the role of Bond in the 1995 film, and the pre-credits sequence sets the stage for his Bond with gunfire, explosions, and a dramatic escape as Bond and Alec Trevelyan (Sean Bean) infiltrate a Soviet chemical facility. Offered here are unique collectibles for Bond fans, including a miniature prop barrel made for the film and a pin used on the caps of the soldiers in the film. The lightweight, plastic barrel was one of many used in various scenes throughout the film where miniatures were used to create exciting sequences involving planes, trains, and explosions. The pin features a hammer and sickle inside a red star, and one of these pins can clearly be seen on the cap of one of the soldiers shooting at Bond in the film's opening scene. The barrel shows wear consistent with usage, including smudges, scuffs, very minor dents, and some minor separation on and near the bottom edge. The pin has no discernable wear.
