Description

Dr. No (United Artists, 1962). Very Fine on Linen. British Quad (30" X 40") Mitchell Hooks & David Chasman Artwork.
James Bond made his big screen debut with this fantastic adaptation of Ian Fleming's novel, introducing all the iconic elements that would turn 007's adventures into a blockbuster franchise: exotic locations, a license to kill, the sinister SPECTRE organization, signature martinis, Bond women, and fast cars. Sean Connery defines the spy's suave persona while Joseph Wiseman's Dr. No sets the tone for the series' lineup of memorable villains, and Ursula Andress, in her famous white bikini, establishes a high standard for future Bond girls. One of the finest posters for Bond's first film, and far better than its American version, artist Mitchell Hooks and designer David Chasman crafted an outstanding image and set a trend with this country-of-origin quad. Restoration has beautifully corrected fold wear and a couple minute nicks. Additionally, the linen has been trimmed close to the borders. Property from a Distinguished Collection.
