Description

Dr. No (United Artists, 1962). British Quad (30" X 40") Mitchell Hooks and David Chasman Artwork.
James Bond burst onto the big screen for the first time with this great adaptation of Ian Fleming's novel, bringing with him all of the signature elements that made the exploits of the debonair 007 a smash hit series: the exotic locales, the license to kill, the evil SPECTRE organization, ubiquitous martinis, "Bond" women, and fast cars. Sean Connery immortalizes the spy's suave style, Joseph Wiseman's evil mastermind Dr. No is a great start to the series' slew of formidable villains, and the bikini-clad Ursula Andress sets the bar high for any of the Bond girls to follow. By far one of the best posters for Bond's inaugural feature, and superior to its American counterpart, artist Mitchell Hooks and designer David Chasman created an excellent image and trend setting style in this country-of-origin quad. In fantastic shape, the poster has had light touchup applied to the folds. The borders have been airbrushed, with some slight tape stains showing at the bottom. Very Fine on Linen.
