    Description

Dr. No (United Artists, 1962). British Quad (30" X 40").
In 1953 Ian Fleming penned his first James Bond novel, Casino Royale, and introduced the world to possibly the most thrilling, debonair character that would ever be brought to life on the silver screen. Initially, Fleming's suave spy James Bond was immortalized in the film Dr. No, making this a particularly exciting lot. Sean Connery stars as the devastatingly handsome 007, British secret service agent with a license to kill, with Joseph Wiseman as Dr. Julius No, the first evil mastermind to cross paths with Bond. Setting the bar for every Bond girl to follow, as well as swimsuit designers, Ursula Andress plays the knock-out, bikini clad Honey Rider. A dynamite country-of-origin quad that embodies all of the glamour, fast paced action and intrigue, it sets the standard for devoted Bond collectors. Artist Mitchell Hooks is credited for the beautiful rendering. Very minor flaws include small pinholes in the borders and corners, one of which is enlarged in the bottom right corner, slight edge wear along the top, a tiny chip in the top border, and crease in the bottom left corner. One of the very best posters from this blockbuster hit. Fine/Very Fine.
