    Description

    Casino Royale (Columbia, 1967). One Sheet (27" X 41") & Lobby Card Set of 8 (11" X 14").
Casino Royale was the only Ian Fleming book not sold to producers Saltzman and Broccoli for the "official" James Bond series. Because of the popularity of Sean Connery's Bond, and because of Connery's million-dollars-a-picture price, Charles Feldman decided to make the film a spoof. After production troubles and budget overruns, Feldman later told Connery it would have been cheaper to pay him the million. In 2006, after Eon Productions reacquired the rights to the book, they cast Daniel Craig as Bond in a move that turned the franchise around. The 1967 one sheet features cool Bond Girl artwork by Robert McGinnis, and the lobby card set is full of great scenes and vibrant color. The one sheet shows some wrinkling, tears at the edges and in the black background, and tape on the verso. The #8 card has a tear in the bottom border, and three cards have bends in the top and right borders. Folded, Very Fine-.
