Description

    It Came from Outer Space (Universal International, 1953). One Sheet (27" X 41") & Snipe (6.5" X 24.75"). 3-D Style.
Ray Bradbury wrote it, and the man behind The Creature From the Black Lagoon (Jack Arnold) directed it. And what was it? "It" was an alien from another world that crash lands in the Arizona desert and slowly begins taking over the minds of the local townsfolk. It's up to the local astronomer and his girlfriend, the school teacher, to save everyone. As it is, this is one of the best science fiction films to emerge from the 1950s and sports one of the most impressive 3-D posters as well. Included is an original, unrestored snipe that reads, "THE NIGHT THE EARTH WILL NEVER FORGET!" This snipe was used to cover the large "In 3-Dimension" on the poster if the theater did not have the ability to project a 3-D print of the film. Prior to restoration, the poster had pinholes in the corners of the background, and small chips in the upper portion of the vertical fold. Touchup work has been done to the folds. The snipe has been folded, and shows pinholes in the corners, creases, tape stains at the edges, glue residue and tape on the verso. Very Fine- on Linen.
