Description

It Came From Outer Space (Universal, 1953). One Sheet (27" X 41"). Jack Arnold directed this adaptation of an early Ray Bradbury short story about an object that crashes to earth. Only a writer and schoolteacher (Richard Carlson and Barbara Rush) believe that the object is a spaceship, but when duplicates begin to replace people, can the couple do anything to save their town? Arnold would go on to create some of the most memorable science fiction of the decade, including "Creature From the Black Lagoon" and "The Incredible Shrinking Man." He became a little less choosy in later decades, though, when directing episodes of "Love Boat" and "The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo." The poster has been linen backed, with the linen borders trimmed to the poster's edge. Fold separation and a slight staining have been expertly repaired, but the colors have succumbed to some fading. Nevertheless, this title does very well among sci-fi afficionados. Very Good/Fine on Linen.
