DescriptionInvaders from Mars (Rank, 1958). Very Fine- on Linen. First Release Italian 2 - Fogli (39.75" X 55"). Renato Fratini Artwork.
There was no shortage of stellar sci-fi movie posters in the 1950s, but this Italian poster with artwork by Renato Fratini is a masterpiece. William Cameron Menzies directs Jimmy Hunt, Leif Erickson, and Helena Carter in this classic sci-fi tale of alien abductions and implants, one that remains popular with film buffs and poster collectors alike. Light touchup has been applied to the folds, pinholes, and small chips and tears. Although graphically very different than its American counterparts, this piece does an excellent job of evoking an eerie sense of impending doom and destruction.
Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
