Description

Idiot's Delight (MGM, 1939). One Sheet (27" X 41") Style D.
Clark Gable steps out of character to play a song and dance man stranded in an Italian hotel at the outbreak of World War II in this Robert Sherwood play adapted to the screen. Norma Shearer plays his love interest. A "highlight" of the film is Gable's rendition of "Puttin' on the Ritz" with his showgirl troupe, featured at the top of this poster. Prior to restoration, there were pinholes in the corners, fold wear, paper lifts to the top corners and top center border, and bottom corner bends. Touchup has been applied to the folds and the linen has been trimmed to the border. Fine+ on Linen.
