    Description

How Green Was My Valley (20th Century Fox, 1946). Folded, Fine/Very Fine. First Post-War Release Italian 2 - Fogli (39" X 55") Ercole Brini Artwork.
John Ford's sentimental story of a Welsh mining family won the Best Picture Academy Award in 1941, and remains one of the best remembered of Ford's career. Talent abounds in its stellar cast, with emotive performances by the likes of Walter Pidgeon, Maureen O'Hara, Roddy McDowell and Donald Crisp; with beautiful artwork of the acclaimed Italian artist Ercole Brini. There is edge wear with small tears, pinholes into the interior, some creasing along the sides, and a few unobtrusive stains in the right border. The poster shows a few small chips in the folds on the right side, including one in Walter Pidgeon's image, and a bit of inked writing in the upper left background with a small stain.

    Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
