    House of Wax (Warner Brothers, 1953). 24 Sheet (104" X 232").
Several years before Vincent Price would solidify his cinematic image as the villain in numerous horror films, he appeared as the tragic Professor Henry Jarrod, an artist and partner in a wax museum that is burnt to the ground by Jarrod's partner. Price terrorized audiences when he re-emerged as a bit of a wax figure himself, hiding his injuries until he's exposed in an unmasking scene rivaled only by Lon Chaney in the original Phantom of the Opera. The story wasn't a new one, as the general plot was used for The Mystery of the Wax Museum in 1933. And though that film had some truly spectacular moments, Warner's decided to make this version in full color (vs. the 2-strip Technicolor used in 1933) and shoot it in 3D to thrill audiences. This incredible and extremely rare 24 sheet poster is for the 3D version of the film. The edges of the poster has multiple tiny tears. The panel that has "3 Dimensions" has a large tear in the bottom and some wear at the center points. Fine.
