DescriptionHouse of Frankenstein (Realart, R-1950). One Sheet (27" X 41.25").
This Universal classic has all the great monsters and evil villains one could hope for-- Boris Karloff as the mad doctor Gustav, Lon Chaney Jr. as The Wolf Man, John Carradine as Dracula, and Glenn Strange as Frankenstein's monster. A rare poster offered for only twice before, this vibrant one sheet once had fold wear, pinholes in the borders and interior, and small chips in the borders and folds. Prior to restoration, there was a tear and a chip at the top of the red text box. Some touchup has been applied to the yellow background, and the poster's borders have been airbrushed. The words "Universal Presents" by the Monster's fingers are not original to the poster, and have been added to the background. Fine+ on Linen.
Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
