Starring Henry Hull, Warner Oland, Valerie Hobson, Lester Matthews, Lawrence Grant, Spring Byington, Clark Williams, J.M. Kerrigan, Charlotte Granville, Ethel Griffies, Zeffie Tilbury, Jeanne Bartlett, Wong Chung, Herbert Evans, George Kirby, Beal Wong. Directed by Stuart Walker. An unrestored poster that displays signs of use. Jack Pierce created the make-up for this title, which is the first werewolf film in cinema history. Originally the make-up resembled the later Wolf Man, but star Henry Hull balked at the time consuming effort, resulting in this startling representation. A classic horror film from Universal Studios. There are small tears in the top border and top right corner that have small strips of clear tape on the recto and verso, a few small or minute tears in the right border, corner bumps and some small creases. There is some smudging in the border areas, some light creases, light edge wear and a short strip of masking tape on the verso near the bottom left corner. From the Larry K. Springer Collection.
