Description

The Return of Dr. X (Warner Brothers, 1939). One Sheet (27" X 41"). This movie has absolutely nothing to do with the earlier Warner Brothers film called "Dr. X," it was just the studio's way of capitalizing on a former hit. Humphrey Bogart must have angered Jack Warner once again, because the actor found himself cast, not in the usual Western, but in a horror film. Bogie gave it his best effort and came off rather creepy as a criminal resurrected from the dead with a need for fresh blood. Posters are extremely rare as they have been sought after for years by both Bogart and horror collectors. This one sheet has had color touch-up and repair to a number of small tears, pinholes in the borders and fold lines. There was an extra vertical fold that was off center and a corner off of the upper left border. A little professional retouch would do wonders to the looks of this poster. Fine- on Linen.
