The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Universal, 1924). Folded, Very Fine-. Swedish One Sheet (27.5" X 39.5") Eric Rohman Artwork.
In the film The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Lon Chaney stars as Quasimodo, the tortured hunchback of Victor Hugo's novel of the same name. The Hunchback of Notre Dame was Universal's most successful silent film, grossing $3.5 million, thanks in large part to Chaney's memorable performance. This beautiful stone litho poster from the film's release in Sweden shows Quasimodo riding his beloved bell, using artistic license to show the scene out in front of the Notre Dame cathedral. The poster has some light edge and fold wear, tiny tears in the borders, small fold separations, and faint and unobtrusive smudges and stains. There is also a chip in the right border which has been re-attached with adhesive paper on the verso.

    Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
