    Description

The Haunted House (First National, 1928). Title Card and Lobby Card (11" X 14").
Borrowing heavily from Paul Leni's The Cat and the Canary, this First National early talkie stars former "Keystone Cop" Chester Conklin and a young Thelma Todd, putting a more comedic spin on the tale of heirs to a will locked in a house at night. Finding any paper on this title is challenging, making this lot a great collecting opportunity. Both lobbies feature Conklin and Todd with impressively bright color, and the scene card's border art is delightfully spooky! The title card has staining in the top border, and the scene card has a very faint stain in the top border. Fine/Very Fine.
