Description

The Bride of Frankenstein (Universal, 1935). Lobby Card (11" X 14"). Boris Karloff, as the Frankenstein monster, appears in this classic lab scene with Colin Clive as Dr. Frankenstein and Ernest Thesiger as Dr. Pretorius. James Whale's classic Universal horror film is considered by many to be the greatest of all the Frankenstein pictures making paper from this gem highly sought after. This is one of the best scenes depicted in the lobby card set. The card has corner chips on the left top and bottom and the bottom right, there are staple holes, small edge tears and wear on the borders, and two minute abrasions on Karloff and Clive. There was restoration to the "Bride" title lettering to remove an overlay. The card has also been cleaned, but is unbacked. The professional restoration to this card was top-notch, rendering these defects virtually undetectable. Fine-.
