DescriptionSon of Frankenstein (Universal, 1939). Very Fine-. Title Lobby Card (11" X 14").
Basil Rathbone takes over the role of the mad scientist from Colin Clive in this installment of Universal's popular Frankenstein series and tries to bring his father's creation back to life. Starring Boris Karloff as the Monster, Bela Lugosi as the diabolical and scheming Ygor, Lionel Atwill as the vengeful Inspector Krogh and Josephine Hutchinson as the threatened Elsa von Frankenstein, they were all directed by Rowland V. Lee in one of the most popular films of the series. This would mark the last time Karloff would portray the undying Monster. The card has pinholes in the corners and into the corners of the background image area as well. There is a small tear in the right edge and some minor smudging throughout. The colors are very bright and the image area is very nice.
Estimate: $5,000 - $10,000.
