    Description

    Son of Frankenstein (Universal, 1939). Lobby Cards (2) (11" X 14").
Even though there had been a change of leadership at Universal Pictures, the new studio heads could not keep their legendary monster down! Boris Karloff would walk again as Frankenstein's monsters. Bela Lugosi would make his first appearance as Ygor and Basil Rathbone would bring an air of sophistication to the film as Wolf von Frankenstein in this horror classic. The card without Karloff and Lugosi has been professionally restored to address pinholes in the borders and background, as well as a few very small tears and its borders have been airbrushed. In the pivotal scene where Rathbone brings Karloff's Monster back to life, there are pinholes in the borders and background, horizontal creases, surface scuffs, and unobtrusive stains. There are a few mild tears, as well as a tear that extends from the bottom border and slightly into the lower image. Some of these issues have received partial touchup however, they do not detract from the deep colors and overall impressive and moody atmosphere of these scenes from one of Universal's greatest monster films. Fine/Very Fine.
