    Description

Son of Dracula (Universal, 1943). Title Lobby Card (11" X 14").
Of all the actors who worked on the Universal monster pictures during the 1930s and 1940s, only one played virtually all the studio's most popular monsters. Lon Chaney Jr. is best known for his portrayal of Larry Talbot, the Wolf Man, but he also played Kharis the Mummy in both The Mummy's Ghost (1944) and The Mummy's Curse (1944), Frankenstein's Monster in The Ghost of Frankenstein (1942), and in this unforgettable film, he dons the black cape of Count Dracula, the first actor to do so since Bela Lugosi made the character immortal in the eponymously titled 1931 film. Sharing the same ominous image of a looming Chaney and sultry Louise Allbritton as the half sheet, this title card shows pinholes in the corners, small tears in the borders, and creasing in the top, bottom, and right borders. The right border also has a minor nick and a tear into the background with linen tape on the verso. Fine/Very Fine.
