Colin Wilson's novel "The Space Vampires" came to the big screen in this space opera staring Steve Railsback, Peter Firth, Frank Finlay, Mathilda May and Patrick Stewart. John Dykstra's legendary special effects genius ("Star Wars," "Spiderman") makes this film, but he disliked it so much that he no longer lists it among his credits.
