French Grande (47" X 63") Roland Coudon Artwork.As audiences sat in theaters in 1933, listening to the rhythmic drum beat and island natives chanting, "Kong! Kong! Kong!" the tension built until with a piercing roar, a giant gorilla broke the chains restraining a captive Fay Wray -- screaming in fear for her life! This incredible French grande captures this high point of the cinema in one of the best posters ever issued on this legendary title. Artist Roland Coudon created this graphic which has become one of the most sought after images of the horror genre and which today, rarely turns up for sale. Prior to the excellent restoration, the poster only showed light fold wear with extra creases.
