King Kong (RKO, 1933). Lobby Card (11" X 14").
Who can forget watching the intense scene from this great lobby card for the first time? A giant ape toying with a two thousand pound tree log. Tossing it playfully about to dislodge the pesky humans to their death into the cavern below. Long before there was CGI, there were hands on stop-motion craftsman of infinite patience and creativity, like Willis O'Brien, giving this film its truly magical and fantastical look. There has been some excellent minor restoration and the card displays terrifically! There are small creases in the top border, and slight edge wear in the top left corner. There were small tears in the bottom and top border. The colors on this gorgeous card are as bright as the day it was printed and is one of the most vibrant cards we have seen from this film. Fine+.
