DescriptionI Walked with a Zombie (RKO, 1943). Very Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41").
Unsettling hues and hints of some of the film's chilling moments fill this original RKO poster for the Val Lewton produced horror classic, starring James Ellison, Frances Dee, and Tom Conway. Jacques Tourneur directs, as he did with several other of Lewton's imaginative features for RKO Studios. The atmospheric tale, set in the West Indies, is about a nurse (Dee) who attempts to revive her dead patient (Christine Gordon) with the use of voodoo magic. RKO/Lewton posters are some of the more highly prized posters in the hobby. Minor wear has been addressed with touchup to the folds, pinholes in the corners, and a couple of very small tears at the edges.
Estimate: $3,000 - $6,000.
