In House on Haunted Hill (1959), eccentric millionaire Frederick Loren (Vincent Price) invites five strangers to spend the night in his haunted mansion for the promise of $10,000-provided they survive until morning-launching a campy, suspenseful mix of psychological games and supernatural thrills. Directed by William Castle, whose notorious "Emergo" gimmick sent a skeleton soaring over theater audiences, the film became a box office sensation that even influenced Hitchcock's Psycho, while this vivid Reynold Brown poster perfectly conveys its eerie atmosphere with the skeletal motif and a menacing portrait of Price. A beautiful example that comes in two panels as originally printed, this three sheet is marred merely by light edge and fold wear, some creases, and a few smudges and scuffs.
