Frankenstein (Universal, R-1947). Fine+ on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41").
Even though from the 1947 reissue of Universal Studio's quintessential monster show, the one sheet offered here is very desirable due in part to the scarcity of original material from the film. Its popularity is also due to the fact that the first reissue from the late thirties was done in a duotone. After this release, Universal turned its horror properties over to Realart for reissue. Boris Karloff glowers over Colin Clive and Mae Clarke in garish color on this highly presentable poster. Restoration has addressed fold wear with crossfold separation and small tears, two of the borders have been trimmed, and there is a long tear horizontal tear on the right side. The linen has been trimmed to the borders.
