    Description

Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man (Universal, 1943). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41") Karl Godwin Artwork.
With a bevy of creepy characters and a well established fandom at their fingertips, Universal bridged the gaps between their supernatural monsters with their first "ensemble" film. Brushing aside such inconsequential concerns as anachronistic timelines, the studio matched up Lon Chaney Jr. in his second performance as the Wolf Man/Larry Talbot with Bela Lugosi in his only appearance as Frankenstein's monster, a casting heralded with much fanfare. This combination formula proved to be a lucrative one at the box office, with Universal cashing in on the trend with a series of crossover pictures. Paper from the title is always a hit among collectors, and it's no wonder with Karl Godwin's exciting artwork of the monsters squaring off in their climatic fight. Benefitting from skilled restoration, this professionally restored poster no longer shows fold wear and separation, pinholes, and several small tears and chips. Also addressed was a tear from the top border into the Monster's temple and the borders have been neatly airbrushed.
