Description

Famous Monsters of Filmland (Central Publications, 1963/1964). Magazines (4) (Multiple Pages, 8.25" X 11"). Horror.
Arguably the first horror, fantasy, and science fiction movie-related magazine of its time, Famous Monsters of Filmland, its editor Forrest J Ackerman, and publisher James Warren built a rabid following of fans for the genre from 1958-1983. Featured in this are issues #25 from October, 1963, and 1964's #26 from January, #27 from March, and #28 from May. These particular issues contain articles, pictures and behind the scenes insight on such films and actors like Bela Lugosi, Lon Chaney, Dracula, King Kong, Isle of Lost Souls, The Phantom of the Opera, Children of the Damned, King Kong Vs. Godzilla, Outer Limits, and many more. Unrestored magazines with bright color and clean overall appearances. They may have general signs of use, such as light edge wear, slight fold separation and fold wear, creases, surface scuffing, or small tears. Some of the front covers may have unobtrusive writing, dust shadows, stains, and smudging. Please see full-color, enlargeable image above for more details. Overall Grade: Very Fine-.
