    Offered in this lot are two black and white framed matted restrike photos of Elsa Lanchester and Boris Karloff as they appeared in the film The Bride of Frankenstein. Starring Boris Karloff, Colin Clive, Valerie Hobson, Ernest Thesiger, Elsa Lanchester, Una O'Connor, O.P. Heggie, Dwight Frye, Gavin Gordon, E.E. Clive, Anne Darling, Billy Barty, and Walter Brennan. Directed by James Whale. Unrestored photos with clean overall appearances. They may have general signs of use, such as slight creases, and/or faint surface blemishes. There are light writing indentations on the photo of Boris Karloff. Elsa Lanchester's photo has been signed, "To EsTelle- Elsa Lanchester" and Boris Karloff's photo has been signed, "To Walt best wishes Boris Karloff 1969." Heritage Auctions believes that the autographed item in this lot is authentic, but know before bidding that no Certificate of Authenticity is provided. Due to the size/weight of this lot, shipping costs may be higher than usual.
