    Description

Creepshow by Stephen King (Warner Bros., 1979). Fine/Very Fine. Original First Draft Script (153 Pages, 8.5" X 11").
Legends of horror Stephen King and George Romero teamed for this tongue in cheek foray into the type of horror stories favored by EC Comics in the 1950s. Using King's script and Romero's stylish direction, the film copied the EC style of comics with its own version of the Crypt Keeper to introduce the five tales in the film. This is an original script by King, with two of the stories based on his prior works The Crate and Weeds (which became The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill) and the other three being completely original. For collectors of Stephen King's works, this script is a unique opportunity to own a group of King short stories that he wrote in 1979 that were not published in books or anthologies. The graphic novel, released along with the film in 1982 was created three years after King wrote this screenplay, making this the original version of King's short stories. While technically not a first edition as it was never published for the public, it still remains the first printed version of three of King's short stories. The covers have staining, creases, and light scuffing. Some of the interior pages have corner bends.
