Description
Creature from the Black Lagoon (Universal International, 1954). One Sheet (27" X 41").This film has such wide appeal that even the great Ingmar Bergman is said to have adored it, watching the movie every year on his birthday! Posters from the picture are equally loved, and creature-feature buffs will not be disappointed with this well preserved one sheet. Richard Carlson and Julia Adams star in this timeless Universal horror tale of an expedition to the dark waters of the Amazon; an expedition which uncovers the existence of a half-human, half-amphibian Gill Man. Since the initial release of this film, the Creature has become one of the most popular monsters in the Universal stable, rivaling such horror icons as Dracula, Frankenstein, and the Wolf Man. Albert Kallis designed this piece, which shows light edge wear and rumpling in the bottom right corner and bottom border. Also included is an "Underwater Thrills in 3-D" snipe that was used on the one sheets since they never printed a 3-D version of the poster. This unrestored copy has brilliant colors and would be a showcase piece in any collection! Folded, Very Fine-.
