    Description

Creature from the Black Lagoon (Universal International, 1954). Folded, Very Fine-. One Sheet (27" X 41") Albert Kallis Artwork.
An icon in the realm of cinematic horror, Jack Arnold's Gill-Man stands tall among some of the most popular monsters in Universal's impressive repertoire, considered an equal to such longtime favorite titles as Dracula, Frankenstein, and The Wolf Man. Received with widespread praise, this dark tale of an Amazonian expedition-turned-disaster has thrilled viewers for decades since its initial release and is the reigning king of 1950s creature features. The one sheet leaves just as spectacular an impression nearly 70 years later as the film did to original theatre audiences, its excellent Albert Kallis artwork an instantly recognizable image synonymous with the horror genre. An absolute must-have for fans of the darker side of cinema and '50s classics, no serious collector could have a complete collection without this gem of a poster. Indications of handling include slight fold wear and separations, soft creases, a couple of pinholes, and minor tears and nicks. There are small dust shadows in the lower corners and a few pieces of archival tape on the verso.
