Cat People (RKO, 1942). Window Card (14" X 22"). RKO producer Val Lewton collaborated with director Jacques Tourneur for the first time on this classic horror film. Tourneur and Lewton decided to make a psychological thriller, relying more on suspense and suggestion than overt scare tactics. "The Cat People" became a major hit for RKO, and the two men went on to make a series of moody and atmospheric horror films for the studio. Posters for "The Cat People" are highly sought after and seldom available on the market. This window card has toning to the outer borders and a very light surface crease toward the lower left corner. The iridescent green of the artwork portrays a wonderful, ominous allure. Very Fine.
