DescriptionHondo (Warner Brothers, 1953). One Sheet (27" X 41") 3-D Style.
The image of John Wayne as Hondo, standing with his trusty canine companion, Sam, is well known to many a Western enthusiast, as it perfectly captures the look of the lone protector, which he portrays. Wayne produced the film, and assumed the title role when Glenn Ford turned it down. The 3-D style is quite popular with collectors, and this one has pinholes, slight fold separations, creases, and smudges. There is some surface paper loss at the top, mild ink stamp bleedthrough, and minor touchup to a tear at the bottom. The poster has paper tape on the verso at some of the pinholes and on a crossfold. Folded, Fine/Very Fine.
Estimate: $500 - $1,000.
