DescriptionHondo (Warner Brothers, 1953). Fine+ on Linen. Three Sheet (41" X 78.5").
American icon, John Wayne, teamed up with director John Farrow for this 3-D Western about a cavalry scout trying to convince a woman and her son to leave their land before an Indian raid. Prior to Wayne taking on the role of the title character, it was offered to Glenn Ford. Fans of the Duke will be thrilled with the rare three sheet offered in this lot, which had some extra horizontal creasing, a tear in the right side, fold wear with chipping, a hole near the center of the poster, and a piece missing from the left border, but expert professional restoration has addressed all of these issues, making this scarce beauty look every bit as good as new. Fine+ on Linen.
Estimate: $800 - $1,600.
