    Description

Hollywood's Three Stooges: First British Personal Appearance (1939). Folded, Fine/Very Fine. Locally Produced British One Sheet (24.5" X 39.75").
In June of 1939, the Three Stooges crossed the Atlantic on the Queen Mary ocean liner to appear for live stage performances in four theaters across England, Ireland, and Scotland. There were plans to also tour Europe, but that was cut short by the threat of impending war. This rare poster advertises their appearance at the Palace Theater in Blackpool England starting on June 19th. One of only three known to still exist, this copy comes from the personal collection of Moe Howard. The poster has some offset in the printing, a small chip at the top with a tear on the vertical fold (repaired on verso with archival tape), and light creasing at the borders. An extremely rare chance to own a personally owned Three Stooges item.
