Widely regarded as one of Alfred Hitchcock's best films, this tale of obsession also has one of the best poster campaigns created for a Hitchcock film! Saul Bass was hired to bring his inimitable flair to the title sequence of the film as well as the poster art. His unique graphic style incorporated James Stewart's on-screen psychosis and vertigo into the design theme. With the downward spiraling art, we feel Stewart's own dizziness as he's drawn further into a plot to use his illness as an aid to a murder. The posters for this title are among the most collectible for any Hitchcock film! This poster has had professional restoration with some color retouch done to the white areas of the borders and lower credits as well as the orange background having been enhanced to diminish some sun fading. The poster now displays beautifully! Artwork by Saul Bass. Very Good+ on Linen.
