Description

Vertigo (Paramount, 1958). Half Sheet (22" X 28") Style A.
This beautiful poster, along with the opening title sequence of the film, were designed by graphic artist Saul Bass. The vortex spiral and the intertwined man and woman against a pool of blood background are in stark contrast to the loving caress of James Stewart. It is Kim Novak's fearful glance towards the vortex that tells the real story-- of her fear of being drawn into a man's obsession from which she can't escape. Only a bottom right corner bend and light creasing in the borders and background can be detected. Rolled, Fine/Very Fine.
