Description

To Catch a Thief (Paramount, 1955). Italian Locandina (13" X 27.5").
One of the most impressive aspects to this original release locandina is the beautiful photographic portraits of Cary Grant and Grace Kelly. As an interesting note, the background displays the coastal city of Monte Carlo (where the film is set) and the future real-life home of Grace Kelly after she married the monarch of the country. This was one of Alfred Hitchcock's most riveting films, as Grant portrays a retired cat burglar who must get back into the game to find a master thief who's copying his style. There were pinholes in each corner and there was a tear in the neck of the upper image of Grant (back to camera). The poster was folded at one time and has two horizontal fold lines, and has had very minor restoration to correct these issues, including some light airbrushing to the upper imprint area. Very Fine- on Linen.
