DescriptionTo Catch a Thief (Paramount, 1955). Folded, Fine/Very Fine. Italian Locandina (13" X 27.5").
One of the most impressive aspects of this original release locandina is the beautiful photographic portraits of Cary Grant and Grace Kelly. As an interesting note, the background displays the coastal city of Monte Carlo (where the film is set) and the future real-life home of Grace Kelly after she married the monarch of the country. This film was one of Alfred Hitchcock's most riveting, as Grant portrays a retired cat burglar who must get back into the game to find a master thief who's copying his style. There are pinholes in the corners and within the border and a small hole in the Paramount logo. The poster has three folds and tape stains in the upper white imprint area. There are several small tears in the border, one which has been supported on the verso with paper tape. This would be a straightforward fix for a talented restoration artist.
Estimate: $500 - $1,000.
