The Man Who Knew Too Much (Gaumont, 1934). Very Fine+. Lobby Card (11" X 14").
The first film version of The Man Who Knew Too Much was the international success that made director Alfred Hitchcock a household name. A British diplomat (Leslie Banks) is told a secret assassination plot while on vacation in Switzerland. He is discovered by the conspirators (including Peter Lorre), and his daughter (Nova Pilbeam) is kidnapped and threatened with death if he reveals his information. In this incredibly rare lobby card, a first time offering from Heritage, Banks comforts his daughter in this dramatic scene of her rescue. To add to the desirability of this card, a leering Lorre is featured on the border art. This is an incredible opportunity to obtain one of the scarcest lobbies from an early Hitchcock classic. The card is in beautiful condition, with only tiny corner bumps, and a small crease at the top border. Posters or for that matter any paper including lobby cards from this title are almost impossible to find and are the missing gems from any Hitchcock collector's collection.
