    Description

The Birds (Universal, 1963). Insert (14" X 36"). With no explanation, birds begin attacking the residents of a seaside town. In addition to terrorizing random people, the birds enact Hitchcock's favorite filmic pastime, as they focus much of their attention on making a blond woman (Tippi Hedren) scream. The birds also set out to interrupt the love triangle of Hedren, Rod Taylor and Suzanne Pleshette. This insert has pinholes with tears and a chip, edge wear with pieces of tape on the edge and a chip with tape on the back, and fold wear with extra horizontal folds. There are scuffs, stains and soiling. The insert is considered to be the best poster on the film due to its brilliant blue background and for the image of Hitchcock appearing at the top. Good/Very Good.
