    The Birds (Universal, 1963). 24 Sheet (104" X 232").
    At the hands of Alfred Hitchcock's masterful and taut direction, this film delivers some of the most horrifying scenes of any film of the genre, making this poster a spine-chilling feast for the eyes. The film was nominated for an Academy Award for special effects by Ub Iwerks, and stars the young Tippi Hedren in her screen debut and Rod Taylor, Jessica Tandy, and Suzanne Pleshette. Hitch fans and those collectors that covet the largest movie poster formats should not pass up this 24 sheet -- the first one offered by Heritage in our many years of Signature auctions. The poster appears virtually unused, with only a bit of left edge wear, and one section with fold wear and small crossfold separations. Folded, Very Fine.
