Description
Spellbound (United Artists, 1945). Very Fine- on Paper. Half Sheet (22" X 28").A fan favorite psychological thriller by director and master of suspense Alfred Hitchcock, Spellbound stars Ingrid Bergman and Gregory Peck in this dark mystery adapted from Francis Beeding's chilling novel The House of Dr. Edwardes. Peck portrays a disturbed amnesiac who may also be a vicious murderer. As the doctor who tries to help him delve in to his mysterious past, Bergman soon falls in love with Peck, and insists on proving his innocence. Dream sequences for the film were designed by renowned artist Salvador Dali along with a composed score by Miklos Rosza. The film garnered five Academy Award nominations, taking home the Oscar for Best Score. This portrait style half sheet has been professionally backed and has received light touchup to minor fold wear and a few chips within the borders and top vertical fold. Each of the borders has been lightly airbrushed.
